Flock of Geese Quilt

Feels so good when a quilt gets finished whether it is bedsize or dollsize!!  This Flock of Geese quilt is one of Lori Smith patterns, a most prolific designer!!  My quilt is brighter than hers.....used mostly Windham reproductions.  Bet you can't guess that I love to make Triangles!!  I have found that my photos actually enlarge twice if you click on them a second time...might be because I have my camera set to a higher resolution than what is used for normal email.

  2. Cyndi, this is absolutely stunning!!
Now for sure I have to get myself in gear and go down to Windham NY and shop the new store...it is owned by the parents of the Windham Fabric line- or so I hear. Anyway, want great repros?? It's the place to go! Can't believe I still haven't been down...Now for the burning questions of the day:
Just how small are those little triangles, and better yet- is that the pattern I just bought. Now I have to go look. I too love Lori Smith!

  4. That is one sweet quilt! I am working on a variation of one of Lori Smith's Fat Quarter quilts, a little sampler, and hope to have the top done before long. I love her patterns too.

  6. Thanks for the kind comments, Ladies! I love lots of color and this little quilt has about 50 different fabrics! Would love the see the Windham shop in NY! The small half-square triangle blocks are 1" finished and the larger are 2". Most of her quilts finish about 16' x 20". The Lori Smith pattern is "And the 4-Inch Block"....has several other little quilt patterns I plan to make!
