Received this loverly doll quilt from Dorothy Ramage of dorothysthreadsoflife blog. It traveled thousands of miles from Australia! Isn't it beautiful! I will be sending my quilt to the midwest tomorrow! Thanks so much to Lori of humblequilts blog for organizing this swap!! Can't wait to see all the quilts!
Can't seem to get my Time Warp stars done in a timely fashion, but here are the California Gold and Serpentine Stripes..............but late or not, I am enjoying making them! And I will enjoy the quilt they make!!
Lovely fabrics in your stars. Looking at the fabrics you have used I realise I have more Serpentine Stripes than I thought. Happy you like your quilt.
ReplyDeleteYou have used fabrics that I do not recognize.....are they Australian fabrics?
DeleteMy red Serpentine stripe fabric is from a Sturbridge Village Collection, I remember all the fabrics in the range were red or red/cream and my blue and red one is a Windham fabric on the selvage is ' Presents Old Glory - The 13 original Colonies' by Nancy Gere c1850 Patt. 25127
DeleteGuess I should have been more clear!! I meant that you used fabrics in your beautiful doll quilt that I did not recognize!!
DeleteThe quilt you received is wonderful! I'm hoping the one that I get is just as good. Thinking on it, I live in the midwest, hmmm. Haha. I mailed mine off last week to another country. I hope she likes it.
ReplyDeleteSorry...your name is not the right one! Love the swap and seeing all the wonderful quilts.....will certainly do it again!!
DeleteYou received a great little quilt, Cyndi!
ReplyDeleteLove the serpentines in your stars!
Love this idea Barbara had to do a different color/style/whatever each week and in a pattern I love!!
DeleteThe doll quilt by Dorothy is full of scrappy goodness. Her choice of fabrics really make a vintage feeling quilt. Lucky you. Great serpentine fabrics. I especially like the large design for a very dramatic look.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see all the swap quilts on Lori's blog!
DeleteLove your Aussie doll quilt! And good job on the stars.
ReplyDeleteLove doing these stars! Not tired of them Yet! Used 36 in my colonial medallion (made 56 so have leftovers!) and was planning another quilt using the same 6" size so it only made sense to join Barbara's weekly plan!!
DeleteOhhh, beautiful doll quilt! And your stars are sensational! I WILL see you next Thursday!
ReplyDeleteHope so! I know work is crazy this time of year! This doll quilt swap has been fun!! And ditto for the Time Warp Stars!
