As scraps collect from the ends of bolts, mistaken cuts, etc, I throw them into a Medium Flat Rate USPS box and it is now Full!! Can hardly close it and it weighs over 6 lbs! There are more than 120 different Reproduction prints and a few homespuns. Most fabrics are less than 6" but are WOF strips. Great for log cabins and other strip quilt patterns!! And I have already started on the next box of scraps! Will let you know when it is ready to give away!

I went to a quilt shop recently to buy some reproduction fabrics to make a Civil War era quilt and they didn't have fat quarters available and didn't want to cut them for me. So I ended up not buying anything, so I could not start collecting fabrics for the quilt I want to make. Poor me :).

ReplyDeleteWHat a lovely box of 'scraps'. I'd love to add this to my inventory as I'm currently in the process of making two (of three -- one is finished!) sister scrap quilts.
Ann Holte created the Lancaster Diamonds pattern, and I completed that quilt. Now, I want to create another Lancaster Diamond done by Fanny Boucher -- the twin, and the daughter's quilt (Barbara Boucher Snyder). I need bunches more reproduction fabrics. :)
